Joe Centofanti has over 20 years of professional experience providing forensic accounting, fraud investigation, accounting, auditing and advisory services to municipalities, not-for-profit organizations and both public and private companies. He is the leader of the Firm’s Forensic Accounting Services Group. As such, he works closely with clients, attorneys and law enforcement to provide forensic accounting, fraud investigation and fraud prevention services, including damage/loss calculations, contract dispute claims, and the development of fraud prevention policies and procedures. 

Steve Dane has over 26 years of professional experience concentrating in the areas of valuation and litigation support services. Steve also assists clients with mergers and acquisitions, financing, tax planning and general accounting and tax matters. He became a Member of the Firm in 2005 through the merger of his former practice, Themistos & Dane, P.C., with Kostin, Ruffkess & Company, LLC. In addition to his being licensed as a Certified Public Accountant in Massachusetts and Connecticut, Steve has earned the Accredited in Business Valuation (ABV) and Certified in Financial Forensics (CFF) designations issued by the AICPA.

John Koliani has over 16 years of professional experience providing accounting. John is leader of Kostin's Health Care Services Group providing auditing, tax and consulting services to health care and related organizations. In addition to his work for health care organizations, John is part of the firm’s Business Valuation Services Group devoting a portion of his time to performing business valuations and serving as an expert witness in litigation matters, such as marital dissolutions, shareholder disputes, forensic investigations and economic damage claims. John joined the firm in 1992 and became a Member of the Firm in 2005.

Jason Newman has over 15 years of professional experience concentrating his practice in the areas of auditing, accounting, and strategic business planning. Jason serves as the leader of the firm’s Employee Benefit Plans Group, is director of the firm’s Quality Control Department and is part of its SOX Compliance Group. He has developed extensive experience auditing employee benefit plans, and has helped develop the firm’s guidance on financial reporting, performing control assessments, and consulting on a variety of accounting and auditing matters. Jason joined the firm in 2002, after serving as an Audit Manager at one of the national accounting firms and became a Member of the Firm in 2006. He is a licensed Certified Public Accountant in Connecticut and New York.
